Sade English Fashion Show
Last Wednesday I was invited to see the launch of Sade English's first collection. The clothes had an overall gothic element, they symbolised opulence, boldness and structure which are Sade English's individual design techniques.
Sade English, at just 21 she has graduated from The London College of Fashion, designed and launched her own collection with a PR team backing her, featured in Vogue Italia. Very impressive. Sade describes herself best in 5 words as "Honest, carefree, anti-clone, unisexual and evolving."
The whole collection was in black, the detailed use of textures and fabrics made the collection sing with nylon, polyester and PVC. The models walked slowly, almost in a tranquil state with strong eye catching make-up and slick hair, and the music was enchanting, drawing you in to their gothic look and what seemed like uneasy sense of mind. They were putting on a show for us not just modelling, each wore heavily gothic platform shoes that really drew you in. Though it was nice to see at the end of the show all the models walked barefoot, for me this was much more enchanting, it meant I was drawn in to the latex design and could really see the true essence of Sade English's excellent design techniques. The show flowed very well together, and although there was not much variety in outfits and shapes, every look had its own Sade Stamp on it.
This was a good beginning and first show.

Above Sade English herself, looking rather pleased with her well received collection and reflecting her own style.
